In Memory of Gary N. Priess

The DeWitt Charter Township Police Department holds in the highest regards, the memory of Gary N. Priess, whose life was taken in the line of duty on January 25, 2000. He was 43 years old and an 18-year veteran of the DeWitt Charter Township Police Department. Gary was killed after being struck by a passing tractor-trailer during a routine traffic stop on US-127. Gary was a dedicated husband and a loving father. He was involved in his community through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. Gary also enjoyed coaching his daughter’s youth basketball team.
