The Township has four
community parks. They are larger than the neighborhood
parks and offer a broader range of facilities to a larger service
population.
Granger Meadows
Park

Granger
Meadows Park is unlike any other recreational facility in the area.
Designed to provide year round use, the park offers winter activities
such as cross country skiing and sledding, as well as the traditional
summer uses. The park has been designed to reflect the agrarian
roots of the Township. Rolling berms covered in natural meadow grasses,
a small orchard, and the earth tone colors of the buildings all
suggest you're still on the farm.
The
park is located near State and Wood Roads with access from Granger
Meadows Lane. Granger Meadows Park is connected to Valley Farms
Park by a lighted and paved trail. The 76-acre park includes recreational
opportunities for everyone, including:
| |
- Basketball
court
- 9,300'
of paved and lighted trails
- Three
picnic pavilions w/ grills
- Barrier
free restroom facilities
- 70'
high sledding hill w/ three slopes
- Koi
pond

Granger
Meadows Park is the result of a unique private-public partnership
between the Township and Granger III and Associates. The park land
and improvements were donated by Granger to the Township in 2005.

Richard A. Padgett
Natural Area
If a quiet hike through
the woods is more to your liking, this 70-acre natural area is the
place to go. Located on Herbison Road, halfway between Airport and
Schavey Roads, this park offers a system of both marked and unmarked
wandering trails. The southern half of the property is dominated
by a mature hardwood stand which includes oaks, cherries and maples.
Though barrier free parking and barrier free access to the restrooms
are available, the trail system itself is a woodchip
surface. The facility also includes picnic tables, grills, and benches
on which to rest after a good walk.
