Directions
DeWitt Charter Township is located in the central part of Michigan, just a few miles north of the State Capitol in Lansing. The Township facilities are located at two primary sites, both easily accessible from the intersection of I-69 and BR-127 (Old 27).
Township Hall & Herbison Road Fire Station
From the intersection of I-69 and BR-127 (Old 27), head north approximately one-half mile on BR-127 (Old 27) to Herbison Road (first traffic light) and turn left (west) onto Herbison Road. The Township Hall and Herbison Road Fire Station are located approximately one-half mile down Herbison Road on the left (south) side of the road.
Township Community Center & Wieland Road Fire Station
From the intersection of I-69 and BR-127 (Old 27), head south approximately two miles on BR-127 (Old 27) to State Road (traffic light), turn left (east) onto State Road and then turn right (south) onto Brook Road (first intersection). The Community Center is located on the left (east) side of the road. To get to the Wieland Road Fire Station, continue south on Brook Road until it intersects Wieland Road (stop sign), the fire station is on your left (east).

The Township offers a variety of maps online for your convenience. Larger copies, available in black and white or color, may be purchased at the Planning Department.
- Future Land Use Map (PDF): This map is a component of the Comprehensive Development Plan. The map is a general guide showing the appropriate location for various future land uses, such as commercial, residential, or industrial.
- Street Map (PDF): This map includes all of the streets in the Township and a street index.
- Voting Precinct Map (PDF): This map includes the boundaries of each Township voting precinct.
- Zoning Map (PDF): This map is a component of the Township's Zoning Ordinance. The Township is divided into various zoning districts. Specific uses are allowed within each district, such as commercial, residential, or industrial. The Zoning Map shows the location of each zoning district.
